AIIMS-MITS ( Indian Institute of Science & Technology , Institute of Management Studies & Medical Sciences )  was established on 7th june 1988 located at Pune, Maharashtra. It is established by MHRD Government of India ( AICTE). It is an Independent and AUTONOMOUS Institute associated with the University of Pune (UGC Recognized) . It is Affiliated & Associated  to Asia’s Loyola International University and Research, Development Center.It is also a member in association of all india Universitits & Member of UNESCO. Pune is the city of Alma mater and is better judged as modern Industry of Textile a nd Diamond of India, who has always concentrated on the quality of education. Pune is one of the proud cities of India where exhibition in the field of Information Technology,Engineering, Textile Technology, Diamond Technology, Aeronautical Engineering and other Technical Developments are arranged. A glance at the economic scenario indicates the giant flight for testing the entire range of Engineering and Management skills. Need for the sophisticated technologies, both software and hardware, is felt more than ever, Education is the only media through which these Technological requirements are met with. To achieve this self-sufficiency in the education field, AIIMS-MITS  with the sole purpose of training the students for Diploma, P.G.Diploma, Graduation, Post Graduation, Engineering, Pharmacy, Management Sciences, Arts and Science courses and to provide professional skill in the field of various branches of Education. The duration of the courses mentioned in this brochure varies from course to course.

Study Material:

The course material is designed in such a manner that it will provide the students a general understanding of the subject matter and also gives guidance for further reading of the subject. The material covers about 80 to 100 percent of the syllabus. Hence, the students are also advised to refer the suggested readings for elaborate understanding of the subject. The course material includes the model question paper and some suggested readings for the benefit of the student.


  • Study material will be supplied by the following Three ways:
  • Material will be issued on the spot at CDE office for those who submit applications in person at the CDE office.
    Material will be sent by post for those who send applications by post. CDE is not responsible for delay or non-delivery of material sent to the address given by the candidate. Hence, candidates are advised to give clear address with Door No and area Pin Code.
  • Material will be issued through Study Centres for those who submit applications through the Study Centres. It is the responsibility of the student to collect the material from the study centre. The course material is designed in such a manner that it will provide the students a general understanding of the subject matter and also gives guidance for further reading of the subject.

Contact Program and Weekend Classes:

Weekend classes will be arranged on Saturdays, Sundays and other Public Holidays depending on the enrolment.

Students should be in touch with the study centre for knowing the Time table and other details. Separate intimation will not be sent regarding the commencement of contact classes.

The Weekend / Personal Contact Programme (PCP) has been so designed to help the learners to attain some sort of orientation and guidance regarding the method of learning and provides condensed class room counselings to cover the important and difficult topics of the course. The students shall bear in mind that PCP is not meant for covering the entire syllabus of the course and only the major topics shall be covered. These programmes are also intended to provide adequate provision for discussing the students’ difficulties relating to their subjects with the respective counsellors.

The services of the experienced faculty members of the university and the affiliated colleges are utilised to impart the theoretical foundations and practical knowledge related to the respective courses. Since it is a self learning process the learners are advised to come prepared to these classes with some basic understanding of the concerned topic so that the guidance given by the Counsellor would enrich their subject knowledge and also enable them to go for further intensive reading.

The Centre will make no hostel/boarding arrangements and the students have to make their own arrangement for attending these classes.


  • If adequate number of students are not enrolled, the University reserves the right to withdraw this course.
  • If adequate number of students are not enrolled in any particular study centre, they will be allotted to other study centres where the course is offered.
  • Students are advised to consult the study centre before applying for any course regarding the availability of that course in that study centre.
  • Arrangement of classes is subject to the enrolment of minimum number of students for a particular course and in a particular centre.
